This is my uncle and his son. Photograph was taken in the Philippines.
In curves, I lightened the dark areas in order to get more detail. I color corrected the whites and blacks and adjusted hue, saturation and lightness.

I like the contracts created from the adjustment. The image is perceived to have more depth.
